Comeback denied by late 'Muda winner (2.10.10)

Division 5

Bermuda Reserves 4 Bourton & Frankton Reserves 3

It was a similar story for Bourton Reserves as they returned empty-handed from Nuneaton thanks to two late goals.

It was a good battling performance from Tom Ansell's side especially as they we were 1-0 down after only 10 seconds of the match!

Despite having a lot of the ball, the visitors then fell 2-0 down midway through the first half, but they continued to plug away and debutant Ryan Parkin hit the crossbar before another debutant Rich Holmes pulled one back just before half time.

B & F started the second half well and equalised following a good move when yet another debutant, Chris Hughes, slotted the ball past the keeper.

With the momentum firmly in the visitor's favour, they went 3-2 up when another flowing move was finished at the fair post by James Davison.

B & F continued to push forward in the hope of putting the game to bed, which saw Davison hit the crossbar with a header. However all the hard work was undone when two late goals both on the counter-attack brought Bermuda level before agonisingly edging them in front again to swing the game in the host's favour.
