Long Itchington v Bourton & Frankton
An entertaining encounter at Stonebridge Lane saw visitors Bourton & Frankton time their run chase to perfection to defeat hosts Long Itchington.
Batting first, the home side set a very competitive target of 204 for 8 off their 40 overs. Jack with 56 and Perks with 43 the leading scorers in the face of Daniel McManus taking 3 for 21 and [father] Pat McManus returning 3 for 35.
In reply, the younger McManus [Daniel] made 40, but it was the partnership between Gavin Sheepy and Mark Whitehead which ultimately saw B & F to their success. Sheepy closed on 78 not out with Whitehead also unbeaten, on 67, as the visitors secured victory by eight wickets with four balls remaining.
