Witherley defeat takes relegation fight to the wire

In contrast to Thursday night, a poor performance from Bourton in North Warwickshire on Saturday meant that relegation or survival hinged on Tuesday's final game of the season.

Robert Crinigan was on target for Bourton in a game where despite playing below par they created some good chances to gain at least the the valuable point required.

So an opportunity to grab the point needed to stay up was not taken, meaning it all boiled down to Tuesday night's encounter away at improving Bedworth Ex-Service, who themselves were in relegation strife but have pulled away from the mire in recent weeks
