15's beaten but not with spirit (20.9.09)
Coventry Minor Football League
Under 15 - C Division
Bourton & Frankton 0 Leamington 6
The first home game for Bourton U15's - back under the guidance of returning manager Richard Cutts, saw B & F lose against top of the league Leamington.
Bourton's youngsters were five nil down at half time, thanks to some fantastic finishing from Leamington's Kurt Parsons. But a spirited second half performance saw the home side concede only once with one minute to go thanks to a more solid performance and belief from Cutt's young charges.
The first appearance by new signing Corey Thomas, who partnered Ashley Whitehead up front, showed good promise for the future, with some great first touches and a couple of long range efforts going over. Great man-marking by Tom Border throughout as well as two goal line clearances saw him claim the man of the match award.
In summary a poor first half but a spirited second half which saw Bourton deserve a couple of goals.
